For the past 20 years, I have worked developing prints and fabrics in the fashion business working with clients such as Anna Sui, Rebecca Taylor, DVF, and Trina Turk, through my company Angel Textiles.
Adding to this I am developing my own work decorating furniture, developing decorative and functional clay pieces, as well as working on my own home fabric line.
My work represents my love of pattern and decorative arts. I am inspired by organic leaf petal and flower shapes, and playing with soft and bright color combinations. Favorite references include the work of Omega workshop, Lucie Rie and the 60's and 70's pattern-textiles and ceramics my parents had when I was growing up.
I also have an extensive textile library of vintage pieces that contains print and embroidery swatches, and fabric pieces from 1880's to 1970's. These I reference for my own work, and have also sold to companies such as Urban Outfitters, The Gap, and Calypso St Barthes, amongst others.
I was born and studied Fashion and Textiles in the UK, and lived and worked in New York City for 20 years. I now live and have my studio on the Shawangunk Ridge in New Paltz, New York.
